ECONOMIC
Our regional products, specially hand-made and artisan products, have been deprived from their inhirent value for many years thus turning them into symbols of poverty. This has changed in recent years and hand-made products have started to gain value for the history behind them. Each of our pieces tells us something. We understand now that the value of artisan work expresses much more than meets the eye and so it became a sustainable luxury.
Illari works hard with each of the regions to enhance the reactivation and improvement of work: we want to get the spinners to spin again, artisans to knit again and to make it possible for small producers to sell their fiber. This is achieved by fair market principles, turning artisans part of our project. Enabling them to enter into the market by learning in their home towns management and decision-making skills related to pricing. There is an agreement between Illari and the artisans to make this business profitable to all.

SOCIAL
Our work is done with artisan families from different regions from the North of Argentina using 100% handmade products.
We mainly put into value the fact that men and women from the Puna, the valleys and the forests may live worthily of their work in accordance to their culture. This means re-activating artisan work in uninviting regions of our country and generating work in their places of birth. At the same time, their identity is strengthened and recreated.
